This
two-day re-enactment includes something
for every member of the family…demonstrations
of 1860s crafts and daily chores,
the opportunity to drill with the
regiment, ladies tea on the lawn,
two battle re-enactments, speakers
and a visit from Dan Rice! Camp
opens daily at 10 a.m. and is FREE
and open to the community. A complete
schedule of events will be available
at www.eriecountyhistory.org closer
to the event weekend.
Experience
the encampment by candlelight! Be
escorted through camp by a military
guide and witness a battlefield
surgery, grave diggers, freedom
seekers on the Underground Railroad
and more. Candlelight tours are
offered Saturday, August 2nd beginning
at 8:00 p.m. Tours depart from the
C.E.B. Memorial House (“white
house”) every 20 minutes.
